Second Attribute: A Desire to Please God

1.         The choices you make in response to conflict reveal who you desire to please - self, others, or your Heavenly Father.

2.         Jesus Christ lived his life to please his Heavenly Father, not himself or others.  John 8:29; Rom. 15:3a; Luke 22;42

3.         The Bible teaches that Christians should desire to please God before others or self.  1 Thess. 4:1; Gal. 1:10; 2 Tim. 2:4

4.         You cannot please God in a conflict wildfire and pursue selfish goals/desires at the same time. Romans 8:8

5.         As you spend time in God's presence, Jesus Christ can transform your desires from the inside out and give you his humble heart/mind/attitude that seeks to please and obey God in the midst of conflict.

6.         The Lord promises to bless those that seek to please him first.  Matt. 6:33; Proverbs 16:7
