Christian Worldview For Christian Leaders

Role of God’s Creation

Irresistibly Self-Evident

Romans 1:20   For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

General Revelation

The “book” of Creation is to be read with curiosity and careful investigation.

Christians are not grumpy against science and study.

Christians have a positive attitude!

We also have a belief that there is more than what we can observe with science.

Incredible Design to Everything!

Example: Humans

Psalms 139:13-14                For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. (Irresistibly Self-evident)

Biblical Revelation

2 Timothy 3:14   But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15 and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

Something is Wrong!

Fall of Humanity!

Genesis 3:17-19   To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat of it,’ “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.”

We Have a Fallen Nature

Genesis 4:7   If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it.”

1 John 1:8      If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

Saved to Serve God and Others!

Romans 10:9    That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

Saved for Eternity!

Philippians 3:20     But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,

Christian Worldview Implications

1. You are a New Person through the Holy Spirit.

Galatians 5:22-26     But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

2. You see things from an eternal positive perspective.

2 Corinthians 4:17     For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

3. Become a Minister of Reconciliation.

2 Corinthians 5:18    All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
