WARNING: This course includes material specifically for leaders who are called to discuss, counsel, or minister to those dealing with sexual problems in a marriage, pornography, sexual addictions, and much more. There is blunt sex-related discussion within this course. Proceed at your own discretion.
Overview: This course looks at many of the human relational dynamics that occur in most families. These insights are very helpful for Christian Leaders to lead people into God-glorifying wholeness.
- Integrate biblical wisdom and observational wisdom about human development and interaction from the insights of Christian psychologists.
- Understand healthy sexuality, courtship and marriage, and gender differences between men and women.
- Understand parental authority and strategies, impact of birth order, and differing parental roles in relation to sons and daughters.
- Pursue constructive conversations between husband and wife and parents and children.
- Use wisdom about human personality and relationships when engaging in leadership, teaching, and pastoral care.
- Read the online articles for each unit.
- Listen to online video lectures.
- Use the discussion forum to ask questions and exchange ideas with others.
- Take the online quiz for each unit. You will have 45 minutes to answer 20 multiple-choice questions for each quiz. Once a quiz starts, you must finish it and can't retake it. So be ready ahead of time. Each quiz covers readings and video lectures for that unit. While taking the quiz, you may use your notes and refer to articles and other materials. Tip: First, answer all the questions you know. Then try to look up answers to questions you don't know. When you have entered an answer for every question, submit the quiz for grading before the 45-minute limit.

Course Forum: Each course forum is at the beginning of the course, right before the first-course content section, and has comments and questions from other students in the class. The forum is a great way to post a question or comment for other students who are currently enrolled in the course to see. Additionally, you can search the forum to see if anyone in the past has addressed or discussed the issue, question, or comment you wanted to post about.
Accessibility: Transcripts are available at the end of each unit for all videos. All videos have slides available with them.

Day 121 - 150
Read the Inspiring Testimony of this Fellow Christian Leaders Institute Student:
God showed her what love is!
CLI student Alecia Gardner
"I found Christ in the hot July summer of 2001. I was utterly broken, utterly lost, and homeless. As an unwed, pregnant teenager, my parents kicked me out of their home due to my embarrassing situation. The father of my child, Gavin, was not around due to military duty. I was trying to decide if I wanted to survive while living in my 1974 Chevy Malibu. I lost all hope of ever reaching my dream of becoming the first person in my family’s history to go to college. So, I was ready to give it all up as I had a plan and a source prepared.
I was ready to let go of this life, but God had other plans. He showed me to give it all up to Him and to let go of the life I was living to live a life with Him. I knew I was not good enough, did not deserve it, but I sought Him anyway. Grace, forgiveness, and hope I never knew existed overwhelmed me. This encounter with God was the beginning of my spiritual journey, and I am so thankful for the grace He has shown me along the way...
My insecurities and inadequacies humble me and make me know I need Christ and a daily walk with him. God became so real to me once I accepted Him, and began to talk not just pray to Him. I sought a relationship when I was alone and scared, and He showed me what Love is. I had given up, but once I gave it all to Him, He showed me He had not given up on me."
