Vision for Enterprise
Part Three

Your enterprise vision

1 Corinthians 15:58 So, my dear brothers, since future victory is sure, be strong and steady, always abounding in the Lord’s work, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever wasted as it would be if there were no resurrection.

Colossians 3:23-24 (NIV) Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Psalm 90:10 (NIV) Our days may come to seventy years,  or eighty, if our strength endures; yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow,  for they quickly pass, and we fly away.

Ecclesiastes 2:24-25 (NIV)  A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their own toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God, for without him, who can eat or find enjoyment?

Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Acts 13:36 (NIV) Now when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his ancestors and his body decayed.

So what is your vision?

Keep working where you are to support yourself, advance in the company to where you can go part time and then spend more time doing ministry.

Start a business to support yourself so you can do ministry free of charge with the potential of one day getting a full-time ministry job.

Start a business that not only pays your bills but does some good for the kingdom.

So what is your vision?

Keep studying at CLI, taking courses in ministry and enterprise until God gives you a vision for your future.

Be so successful as an entrepreneur that you not only make a huge difference in the lives of people you hire but you become a sponsor of church planters and Christian leaders.

Start your own Bible school, mentoring potential leaders using the CLI curriculum.

So what is your vision?

What is driving your vision?

Acts 26:19 “So then, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the vision from heaven. First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and then to the Gentiles, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and demonstrate their repentance by their deeds.”

Most people borrow a vision

Borrowing somebody else’s vision is better than no vision at all

But a borrowed vision is not as strong as finding one of your own.

A borrowed vision often inoculates a person from doing the hard work of finding his/her own.

Ultimately you can have the same vision as someone else but you must earn it.

How to “earn” your own vision

Pray to God for one.

Get out and do something. Remember failing can lead to a vision as much and often more than success can.

Keep learning.

Find a mentor you admire.

Follow your passions – things you are good at and really love doing.

Be patient.
