ORDAINED AS A THOUGHTLESS VOCAL WITNESS

Basic qualification: Are you/will you be an ordained thoughtless vocal witness?

The foundation of the ordained person

II Peter 1: 21, “For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.”

The foundation of the ordained person

I Thessalonians 2: 13, “ And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.”

The foundation of the ordained person

I Timothy 2:5, “For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.”

John 14: 6, “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Ordained persons lead with authority

The ability of the ordained person.

Colossians 4: 6, “Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

I Thessalonians 1: 6, “6You became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you welcomed the message in the midst of severe suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit.”

Ordained person’s lives equip them to lead.

The ability of the ordained person. 

Acts 8: 35, “ Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus.”

Ordained person’s knowledge equips them to lead.

The ability of the ordained person.

I Peter 5:3, “3Not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.”

Ordained person’s attitude equips them to lead.

The ordained person as a teacher.

John 3: 10,  “You are Israel’s teacher,” said Jesus, “and do you not understand these things?”

Galatians 2:20  I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

The ordained person as a teacher.

John 3: 3, “Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”

Teaching vocal witnesses to know their Savior

The ordained person as a teacher.

Luke 24: 27, “And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.”

John 3: 11, “Very truly I tell you, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony.”

Vocal witnesses have to know their materials.

Luke 19: 41, 42, “ As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it 42 and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes.”

Closing thought for an ordained person: 

Acts 6: 3, 4, “Brothers and sisters, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.”
