The Praying Leader Notes: It’s better to pray and do nothing than to work tirelessly without praying.

Pray because you love Jesus.

  • Matthew 22- Lovers of God reproduce lovers of God
  • Rev 2- Don’t lose your first love while busily ministering
  • Eph 3:14-19- Pray that you and the others know Him deeply

Pray humbly because your effectiveness is tied to it.

  • James 4:6-10- Pray for each sheep weekly, admitting your need.
  • Any plan works if you know Him well
  • Moses- Exodus 33, Red Sea
  • Joshua- Joshua 6:1-27
  • Jonathan- 1 Samuel 14

Pray because Jesus prayed

  • Luke 22:31-32

Pray for your members weekly as an example to your people.

  • Pray for their knowledge and love of God- Ephesians 3:14-19
  • If that was all you accomplished, it would be HUGE!
  • Imagine what God would do...
  • Don’t stray from this, you can’t overdo this!
