  3. Extra Dr. Henry Cloud quotes

    1. God is there with you, empowering you to do what achieves His ends.

    2. Address the issues of today rather than obsessing about yesterday or hoping for rescue tomorrow.

    3. Holding on to the baggage of the past will disable you for your journey with God.

    4. Your journey with God will be richer, more fulfilling, and more successful if you surround yourself with people who are committed to support you.

    5. Don’t ask God to get rid of your problems, and don’t merely tolerate them.  Welcome them as gifts and you will find God’s way through them.  View your problems as the next steps of growth for you.

    6. We change our behavior when the pain of staying the same becomes greater than the pain of changing.  Consequences give us the pain that motivates us to change.

    7. The sad thing is that many of us come to Christ because we are sinners, and then spend the rest of our lives trying to pretend that we are not.

    8. There are some people whose desire it is to hurt others and do destructive things. And with them, you have to protect yourself, your company, your loved ones and anything that matters to you.

    9. You cannot fix people who will not take feedback, because from their perspective, they do not have a problem.
