Introduction: What is Biblical Christianity? Have you ever studied Christianity's teachings? Maybe you are quite knowledgeable about the Bible and have belonged to a church. This Christian Basics course will help you become more confident in the foundational teachings of Christianity.
This course is called "Christian Basics," however, don't think this subject matter will waste your time. The vast majority of Christians do not know what they believe. Many Christian leaders lack Christian literacy and get caught up in secondary issues. Maybe you have met some of them.

Christian Basics Overview: This foundational ministry training course focuses on some of the most fundamental truths in God's Word, the Bible, for guiding Christian belief and behavior. Students will learn these truths, find where they are taught in Scripture, and grow in their ability to state Christian truths clearly and briefly to others.

- You will study essential doctrines of historic, biblical Christianity and demonstrate knowledge through testing.
- You will develop a growing sense of theological discernment so that you can affirm sound doctrines and reject false doctrines.
- You will develop a theological framework for the rest of your studies at CLI.
- You will become more capable of explaining Christian truths to others and showing where these truths are found in the Bible.
Assignments: Each week, read the assigned lesson, listen to video lectures, and do the quiz for the week. You will have 45 minutes to answer 25 questions on each quiz. You can refer to the written lesson while taking the quiz, but it is best to study carefully before taking the quiz. Once you start a quiz, you are not allowed another attempt on that quiz.

Your average grade for all assignments in the class must be at least 60%. Otherwise, you will fail the class and will receive no course credit.
Note: You must complete all work by the final deadline of the course. If you are not done by that date, you will have to retake the class to receive credit. Incompletions are considered drops.
Course Forum: Each course forum is at the beginning of the course, right before the first-course content section, and has comments and questions from other students in the class. The forum is a great way to post a question or comment for other students who are currently enrolled in the course to see. Additionally, you can search the forum to see if anyone in the past has addressed or discussed the issue, question, or comment you wanted to post about.

You must pass the comprehensive test with a 75% or higher. If you do not, you will need to move on and take the complete course.
